"..." Hope by Joel Rothschild will inspire you. It will give you hope when you have nothing left. If you feel that the bottom has fallen out of your life, or that your physician has just given you a death sentence, read this book and then read it again. This book will give you a life sentence.

Joel Rothschild is one amazing man and I am in awe of his incredible willpower and his incredible capacity to love, to be love, and to spread that love. "..." The reader is brought into Joel's personal life, his battles, his loves, his losses, and his triumphs. His spirit is just so amazing and what is even more amazing is the spiritual transformation that Joel experiences and embraces, as he conquers one challenge after another with AIDS. He is an inspiration to both young and old.

Joel shows us the meaning of living in the NOW and to appreciate everything we do have in our lives. The only time that matters is now - not the past and definitely not the future. He gently reminds us of forgiving others and most importantly, of forgiving ourselves. We forgive and we heal, we proclaim our gratitude and we value and come to appreciate life even more. "..."

Joel's book shows us how to overcome all of our adversity with love, faith, and hope.

After reading this book, I fell in love with Joel Rothschild all over again, and if you have not read his first book, Signals, I recommend that you run out to the nearest bookstore and read another amazing, loving book, which will equally comfort you.

Joel Rothschild relates how he learned from others how to find "new meaning in times of mortal danger...I took those lessons to heart and began to search for ways to reinvent myself and give new meaning to my life."

Each of us has the opportunity to reinvent and redefine our lives when going through a major challenge or loss in our lives. Often, we don't seize it willingly, and instead let ourselves walk unconsciously through our healing. Joel Rothschild offers a path of awareness, a path of conscious choice for living a life with meaning, purpose and grace.

Through his own multitude of challenges, Mr. Rothschild has given us the gift of wisdom gained the hard way, or shall I say, the "heart" way. No other book that I have read in the last l0 years has stated so much, and so eloquently, what I have come to believe about life's lessons.

All suffering and pain has meaning and purpose. For me, I have had to experience several life challenges to feel the truth of this statement, to my very core. In his book, Joel Rothschild illustrates this so beautifully, and we are elevated by his faith and trust in the life process.

He states that "These days all people seem a little more beautiful." Thank you Joel for shining your light so brightly and allowing it to be the mirror for us to see ourselves more clearly!

After thoroughly enjoying Joel Rothschild's first book 'Signals', and having bought countless copies for friends and family, we eagerly awaited Joel's Second book 'Hope'.

However, we could never have imagined how much impact this book could have.

Having previously read an extract of 'Hope' from Joel's website ... and already being aware that 'Hope' was written in a different vein from 'Signals', we were totally overjoyed to find 'Hope' had surpassed all our expectations.

Joel Rothschild is an inspiration to all of us, and through 'Hope' invites you into his life and it's lessons so that we can all benefit.

This is NOT only a book for HIV/Aids sufferers, or a gay book, or even a book for those coping with tragedy or disease. Joel's gift is to lift his personal experiences, often poignantly described, and show they can apply to anyone. This then is a book for everyone from all walks of life young and old! This is a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting book throughout, which is a pure pleasure to read. As you turn each page you are given an insight into Joel's life and how he transformed adversity into a gift, how instead of becoming the victim, Joel chose to be the survivor and to cherish each moment life has to offer.

Each page offers valuable information, insight and the realisation that it is not what happens to us but how we respond to it that truly makes the difference in our lives.

If there is to be only one book that you read, let it be this one!

You won't regret it for a single second, but will value it for years to come.

Hope is an inspiration to all! No matter what a persons present or past life situation, from the terminally ill, to those suffering through deep loss, to those of us who are blessed to be healthy. (As am I.) Joel has opened up his life and struggles to us to show that it is indeed possible to triumph over whatever life has to offer, transforming perceived diversities into tools for tremendous personnel growth. If you are as blessed as I am, to be in great health and have a great life, Hope will most assuredly fill you with gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon you. A wonderful book. Thank you Joel!

If you are looking for hope and words of wisdom from something that is taking over your life you will love this book. I read Joel's first book "Signals" and
this is the continuation of how he has made it this far in his life when everyone else gave up hope on him. It gives us all hope, and encouragement for things we must go through every day be it chronic pain, sickness, depression or like Joel himself, aids. He has fought the fight and shows us what courage and hope really are. There is alot of "Food for thought" in this book that he reminds us of and mostly that we must never give up!
I was very pleased with this book and it's message of HOPE.

Having read Joel Rothschild's new book HOPE, I highly recommend it to everyone. It is a wonderful book, and such a shining example of one man's strength, courage, spirit, and hope.
I experienced many emotions while reading HOPE, and thru Joel's personal undertakings, his outlook on life, and his ability to explain and teach life's lessons, I know I have profited immensely.
Joel shows us that life is a gift, and thru his unconditional love, teaches us that life always has a purpose and that every second counts.
I don't know of anyone who wouldn't profit from reading HOPE!

This is one of those amazing books that you can't put down! And although it can easily be read in one sitting, the insights and inspirations will stay with you for a lifetime.

In "Hope", Joel Rothschild describes his life (his struggles & his joys) since he was diagnosed with full blown AIDS - which was nearly 15 years before the writing of this book! In it, he shares what he's learned about the importance of living each day as if it's your last, as well as how your thoughts have a direct impact on your experiences - "as a man thinketh, so he is...".

I would highly recommend this book to everyone - it is very uplifting, and has a lot to offer each & every one of us.

i read this after reading Joel's first book "signals". i read it at a time in my life when i was in despair, and this book helped my immeasurably. i would recommend it and encourage everyone to read it

Joel Rothschild has yet again excelled himself in writing a book for all!
I found 'SIGNALS' to be a Joy to read, but somehow Joel has gone one step further with 'HOPE' Each page has something to offer everyone, from all walks of life, all age groups; everyone will learn valuable lessons about themselves and gain inspiration to face the upheavels as well as the Joy's of our lifes path.

Everyone I know who has read this book has been touched in a personal and special way thanks to Joel!

I recommend this book to one and all.....

After reading Hope I realized how insignificant the glitches (which I thought were problems)in my life really are. Knowing the suffering people with AIDS go through and everything they must endure really put things in perspective. I believe there is a message in this book for any reader who is seeking a greater understanding for compassion, inner peace and what the true meaning of unconditional love really is. When I read Hope I must admit, I cried, however the strenghts of the author filled me with light and "hope" for anything I might encounter in the future. Thank you Joel, you're truly an Angel in the lives of many people. Thank you HOPE for giving me the message I needed to hear at the time I read you.
