...from a vastly underrated duo. This couple can sing their...you know what I mean. They never really got thier due because perhaps they were overshadowed by their years in the Fifth Dimension, the group evvybody thought had too many pop hits to really be anything but a blip on the history of music. That just ain't so. The Fifth and McCoo and Davis were talented vocalists who made it big. Really, really, really big. So big that I remember McCoo & Davis had a summer variety TV show--and their sound is so great that the word chemistry doesn't do it justice. Maybe it was kismet, I dunno. But listen to the title track, "I Hope..." and the Tony Hester cut "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me" and decide for yourself. I love these two!

I've been searching for this CD for months! I finally found a new copy. (Check out Marilyn & Billy's official web site.)
This is a very good CD, and I can't wait to listen to it again. It's definitely worth the time I spent searching. These songs are different, and I think better, than most songs I've heard by 5th Dimension. The singing is still great.

I must just tell you both of these people marilyn and Billy are a class Act.many years ago I met marilyn while she was hosting Solid Gold and Billy was also there,both of these people posed with pictures with me and just could not have been nicer,then a few years later i would meet them again when the original Fifth Dimension got together in Atlantic City and i would be lucky enough to get a picture with all of them before Ron townsend pass away.Marilyn is one of those few artists like Dionne warwick and connie francis who can make any song her own...Buy this Cd

Truth is, I didn't buy this CD; I could hire Marilyn and Billy to perform it for me these days for what it costs. I DO have the original LP in great condition though. I play it perhaps twice a year. I've always wondered why the title song, a bit more sentimental than the follow-up, "You Don't Have to Be a Star" wasn't a bigger hit. Apparently it did leave the public hungry for more since "You Don't Have to Be a Star" gets regular play on oldies stations. At a reasonable price, those two songs would make this a good buy and the rest would be gravy. If money means nothing to you, by all means, lay your money down and enjoy. The album is most pleasant.

There are alot of duets being done these days,but nothin but nothin comes close to the magic theses two had in the 70,s.Husband and wife left the 5th dimention to go out on their own and hit pay dirt.You don,t have to be a star was the first.Then came your love and i hope we get to love in time,all on this cd. I Been looking for this CD for years thank you amazon and i will enjoy!
