Book Description

When everything else is lost, there is always hope.

While most teens want an epic senior year, Trinity Whitebone hoped for a normal one. Being seventeen was hard enough. Having the emotions of everyone around you in your head made life more than a little difficult.

Until Blain Heros enrolled.

He screamed hot-god in jeans with just his walk. His intense stare warmed her skin like a thousand suns. Unfortunately, his interest in her seemed to run from blazing to freezing in the span of moments and left her nothing but confused. She could deal with things not being normal, but when life goes from strange to dangerous…

Trinity is the direct descendant of Pandora and fated to rectify the terrors released into the world by her curious ancestor. With powers she didn’t know existed and abilities she never wanted, Trinity tries to walk away from everything her life had become. She thought she could turn her back on her fate, until a band of rogue immortals discover who she is and will do whatever it takes to control her powers. Trinity is left with one decision…Embrace fate or die trying.

About the Author

Born and currently residing in Midland, Texas, Angela shuffles three busy children (not including her husband) all over the place. She works in a busy pediatric doctor's office as a nurse during the day, and writes at night. She is addicted to coffee-who isn't? And firmly believes chocolate can fix all-especially chocolate ice cream. She laughs a lot, often at herself and is willing to try anything once (she thinks). When Angela isn't rushing kids around, working or writing, she's reading. Other than life experience, Angela turns to a wide variety of music to help spark her creative juices. She loves to dance and sing, though her kids often beg her not to.

5.0 out of 5 stars PHENOMENAL BOOK! October 5, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Phenomenal book! Hope's Decree is a YA novel that will have you hooked from the first chapter. The premise is based on the myth of Pandora's box. But where that myth ended, Hope's Decree began.

I'll save telling you about the storyline itself and instead focus on what made this book so fantastic. First, there's the main character. Okay, Trinity is a kickass protagonist. Throughout the novel, she dealt with frightening nightmares, several frustrating men, and a few murder attempts. And she handled them like a champ--I often found myself nodding my head and/or rooting for her.

Second, the action was fantastic! So many books shy away from conflict. This one did not. And again, let me reemphasize that Trinity can kick major butt!

Third, the book was unpredictable (in such a refreshing way). This I can't really go into since I don't want to give away too much about the storyline. However, many of you, like me, have read so many books that the twists and turns are unsurprising. With Hope's Decree I often had no idea what was coming next.

Fourth, I loved the ambience. Most books skim over this aspect of the story, but here the author didn't! And oh boy, the ambience here was deliciously creepy.

Lastly the ending--geez, I couldn't tear my eyes away! I want more! I seriously hope a sequel is in the works because I'm so not ready to leave this world!

5.0 out of 5 stars Read this book. Now. It’s SO good. January 4, 2014
By Ingrid
Format:Paperback
I couldn’t put Angela’s book down. If you pick it up, you’ll want to spend every minute you have with the amazing characters in this story. You’ve been warned.
Trinity is a kick-ass protagonist. She’s incredibly strong for a seventeen year old, which makes her so very inspiring. Although she has a scary destiny to fulfill, she’s not afraid to face it. And there is much to face! Blain is also a very good reason to read this book. So is Morpheus. Read it, and you’ll understand. *swoon*

The world Angela has created is different from what we usually read. The Greek mythology truly makes the story stand out. I learned a few things, which is always great while reading a novel. The way she describes Trinity’s dreams also shows how talented she is for a debut author. Those are like pieces of a puzzle you're trying to put together.
This book is also so quotable. Just to give you an idea : « The warmness of his touch felt like coming home » → so beautifully written.
Besides, I thought it was really nicely paced. There’s always something happening, which keeps you reading even when it’s time to feed your dog that has been barking for the last ten minutes. I’m serious.

The way Angela writes will make you want to know what is coming next, and trust me, you’ll really want to know.

Feed your dog, and then go grab a copy. Now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best new author Angela McPherson! Must read! March 21, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
"Hope's Decree" by Angela McPherson this is book one of (The Fated)

I absolutely hands down loved this book. This book is not in my normal reading genera, I typically stay away from YA and follow more of the hot seamy stuff, But I did however get completely sunk in and couldn't put it down! I liked greek mythology in school but haven't thought once about it sense reading "Hope's Decree". Angela McPherson puts an amazing spin on it and even if you have never studied or heard of Greek Mythology (you know Hercules Hercules disney movie) " Hope's Decree" is not confusing or hard to follow whatsoever. Even being a YA book there is still the so called "good vs. bad boy" "Blain vs. Morpheus".

Its written wonderfully in first person main character being Trinity seventeen year old senior getting close to the big eight teen. I am so excited for the next book to come out in "The Fated" series!

Bottom line I would truly recommend this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Two book boyfriends and no love triangle? Yes please! January 30, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
First off, let me just give a HUGE shout-out and thank you to Ms. Mcpherson – the author herself. You have officially gotten me out of my YA paranormal funk with your ultimately, awesome novel. With witty characters galore, totally swoon-worthy book boys, and a new, original story line, Hope’s Decree is one book that readers do not want to miss.

Trinity, Hope’s Decree’s awesome heroine, is just a normal girl on the outside, trying to make the most of her senior year in high school. But normal for Trinity is not normal for everyone else. She’s a girl, with a gift — or to her it’s more or less a curse. She’s got the ability to sense the emotions of everyone around her…everyone but the new boy, Blain.

Blain (holy-hot-mama-blondie, Blain) is a mystery she can’t help but be drawn to. It’s like they have an unspoken, invisible link with one another and no matter how much he avoids her, or she avoids him, it’s like the pair can not be drawn away from one another. But with the connection comes mystery, and once that mystery is out of the bag so to speak, Trinity takes on quite an adventure with her newly discovered heritage. It’s nothing she can’t handle, that’s what I loved about her, she takes it, accepts her fate, and says heck yeah, bring it on, even though it still scares the crud out of her. Guardians, mythological history, and more — I felt like I was riding this book out with the heroine herself. The only problem I have? Well, I need more. Lots more…

I can’t get by without talking about the boys. Oh…the boys…they made this book. Seriously. They made me swoon, made me shiver, and made me grin while I was attempting to pack my kid’s lunches up at six in the morning. Yeah, to say I was a tad bit distracted by the two main boys in this book would be an understatement.
