I used this to make a magnetic board for my son to learn his letters on! It worked perfectly and he loves it.

*edit, I've added a photo of what it looks like on my wall*

One cannot send a flimsy item like this in an equally flimsy pasteboard container and expect it to arrive flat. The purpose of a drip tray is to catch drips, not channel them to some point where the accumulated liquid then overflows the meager 1/4" depth of the item. What I did find VERY ENCOURAGING was Amazon's reaction to my disappointment. They credited my account for the purchase, renewed the discount I'd used from a totally non-Amazon source and suggested I just keep the dented (it reminded me of Gehry's Guggenheim in Bilbao) tray rather than make the effort to return it.

Needless to say, I will do business with Amazon again.

I purchased this tray to place under my standup freezer. It was a lot less expensive than a plastic washer pan and a lot more durable. The dimensions are slightly less than advertised but it still fits where I need it to fit.

I've included two photos of the tray is use for storage with my Sizzix Movers & Shapers magnetic dies. I've been looking for this very item for awhile now, and am very pleased with the tray.

I've noted the problems shared in other reviews regarding packaging and dented tray, but that was not my experience. It was delivered in a large flat cardboard envelope as one reviewer mentioned, but it also had a lot of little air bags cushioning the interior portion of the tray. Perhaps that is a new shipping option since the problems reported earlier. My tray was pristine. It does arrive with a light coating of oil which is not runny at all, and does not smell like a petroleum based oil product. But, having said that, one might want to be cautious about propping the tray where it might come in contact with draperies or furniture. For my purposes, I didn't feel the need to try to remove that invisible coating since it was just a matter of feeling it when I touched it. It does't impair the magnetic properties that I needed for my uses.

When I purchased this several days ago, the price was $9.99. but today I only see $19.99 and $36 options for this tray. I would be willing to pay $20 for this tray, but not $36, at least not for my needs. I'd go to my local sheet metal store and ask them to cut a flat section of galvanized tin to the dimensions I need. But the convenience of Amazon and the quick shipping that goes with a Prime Account, makes this a much better value.

I ordered this and my husband mounted it to the wall to use with the magnets for my grandson. It does not take up floor space and can hold 50 magnets easily.

I actually bought this to lay across the top of my wood table to protect it while I do encaustic painting (painting with melted beeswax). I LOVE it. It's durable, nice sized to fit a standard table top and it was an inexpensive insurance option for my table.

Saw this on pinterest as a tool for children's play. We have hung it up on the wall and use letter and number magnets on it. Its a great tool for helping kids learn their letters, numbers, names, and words.
