A Disappointment!,

In some ways quite in depth. However, having passed the Boards once I can say that much of the conceptual and important info you MUST know is never clearly stated anywhere. Yet, in order to answer many review questions (for example on the ABIM site) this book manages to stop short of the detail needed. It does give some good systematic review, but especially for recertification it simply doesn't give a lot of the definitives needed to make even good educated guesses. In reviewing 150 ABIM questions, I used it as a source successfuly perhaps 15 times. I'm keeping it only because it has some decent review in it, but if I relied on this book , especially for recert, I feel like I'd fail. If returning my unmarked copy were less of a hassle, I'd do it. Not worth the price even remotely.

I obtained this product to review for the boards.
It is very portable and easy to carry---rather than the huge book. The drawback is that the tables and charts are not easily read. It is also difficult to navigate from the chart/table back and forth to the text.

I bought this book twice 2009 ed and this edition. I also have Medstudy and First aid. if you are preparing to take the Internal Medicine boards for the first time or preparing for recertification, this is an outstanding resource. It is well-organized, concise, comprehensive and easier to get through (better charts, pictures, etc.) Registering for the online questions is quite an easy process and you also get online edition of the book. The questions are challenging and pertinent with clear answers that emphasize the teaching point being made. The outline format highlights important points about each subject. Overall, I am very satisfied with this book and highly recommend it! my only take on them if you bought the hardcopy you should get kindle edition for free!

Has good questions, the images are excellent and very helpful, the digital version is lacking in saving feature, the questions restart without saving your answers if you close the website. But the content is good.

shame how a company that is claiming superiority and prestige can cheat its customers. The john hopkins are really but really unfair! in the product description in all websites it's written that they have more than 1050 questions "both in print and online". so where are those in print??? ahhh after buying the book it's written that there are more than 1000 questions (!) just online! I personally thought from their book description that at least the greatest part of their question are printed in the book. that's not the case and now after getting the book I regret buying it, besides from being not that good in the context (at least cardiology and rheumatology are very bad), the price is very high, and the activation of this book online to show the questions has many problems, at least till now! my Worst purchase without a doubt!
