This scraper works well and has a nice contour when using two hands to remove that really stubborn ice. Also, I like that the blade is angled away from the brush so there is less chance of accidentally scraping the paint job when brushing snow.

This ice scraper is very well designed. It is sturdy enough to chisel through ice, and brush away large amounts of snow. A lot of ice scrapers have chisels and brushes at opposite ends of the handle, which makes using the chisel cumbersome (since you have to hold the device by the brush). However, the Hopkins Ice Hammer placed both the chisel and brush at the same end of the device. Overall, I am very satisfied.

My "old" snowbrush scraper wasn't cutting it anymore, so I figured I'd try something beyond "the cheapest in the store," though I bought this for $4.99, I think.

First impression: Dang, this thing is solid! It's heavy compared to other scrapers, but the weight isn't uncomfortable, just makes me think this might be of better quality that the ones I typically buy. It's also a lot less work to scrape - I've only had to do one pass with long, smooth strokes rather than short over-and-over ones, and we've had snow, ice, frost, etc. all week.

Color: Mine came in red. I don't have a color preference, because honestly, scrapers aren't a fashion accessory. They just need to work.

2nd winter with this one. If you care about your car you will not buy it though. It does the same job as any other scraper and brush. The handle and quality is all there, all work great, but the scraper and brush being both on the same side get in the way of each other. So if you care about beating up your car a little, as in trying to brush and the scraper part hits your car, its inevitable, try getting one that have the brush and scraper on opposite ends. Hopkins makes a couple of those as well and I would definitely trust their quality from my experience with this one. Probably end up giving this one to my dad n getting another.

I live in Knoxville. I bought this on the off chance I might need to deal with slow and ice. Wow... did I make a good decision. This product works, it is light weight and gets the job done. If you live in Alaska this may not be "heavy duty" enough, however, it is enough for us!

The scraper is by far one of the better ones I've seen. Don't get much snow in Dallas but we never know when we'll have ice; i.e. Super Bowl 2 years ago. Wish I'd had one then.

We haven't real had much of a winter this year in VA but we did have a few days that frost had settled on all the windows that without this bad boy we would have no luck going anywhere in just a matter of moments.

Simple to use, light, and efficient what else can you want or ask for?!

I was very happy we received the black color because that's the one i wanted the most since you cannot real pick because the color vary so that was definitely a bonus for us as well.

JUST GREAT!!

I would definitely buy this again and recommend it!

Meh, for the price.. It's ok.
Having the bristles that close to the scraper makes it really difficult to scrape a car window - You need to have your second hand close to the blade so that you can get good leverage, and with the positioning, you just can't do it. Its build quality is nothing impressive, but for the price paid, it does ok. I'd personally recommend just paying a few more dollars and getting something that will help you to dread winter a little less.

Ok, first off I live in Arizona, so I am not sure how much of this will apply to you.

I switched shifts and now get off work in the morning and was getting tired of sitting in a freezing cold car for 10 or 15 minutes to thaw the windshield. The frost on the window can get thick, but this cuts it down pretty quick.

The blade is fairly wide, the handle is long, sturdy and curved at just the right angle. It does come with a snow brush but I have had no opportunity to use that part yet.

Would I buy it again? Oh yeah, specially at this price.
