I am just starting out and needed a few different caliber bore brushes. Honestly for the price stop at your local gun shop to buy a good rod for the weapon(s) you own, purchase the specific bore brushes seperatly you will get a better value. The carry case serves it purpose and carries the items but is fairly worthless, latches are cheap case is cheap.

Live and learn, hope this helps you from learning the same way I did.

I'm fairly impressed with this kit. Now, keep in mind it is only an accessory kit. You will still need to pick up some CLP, etc. The only thing that I can find to complain about is the fact that the cleaning pads included in the kit are pretty cheesy. Pick up a good pack of OTIS pads and you're good to go.

I've cleaned my 20 ga., .22 long rifle and .30-30 with this kit since receiving it. The rods screw together neatly, the various tips as wee, the brushes fit just right in each barrel, and the swabs and patches get the job done. Be sure to pick up some cleaning solvent separately since none is included.

I wish Hoppe's would have spent as much money on the contents of this kit as they did on the case in which it came. The threaded end of one of the cleaning rod sections cracked off on the first assembly making the kit worthless for cleaning rifles. I would have liked to have known exactly what the kit contained prior to purchase. I got the kit based on it being described as a "universal" kit. Seemed that the assortment of brushes was ok but there was no cleaning agents or lube. The biggest disappointment was the cheap cleaning rod. Glad it broke during assembly instead of while it was in the barrel. If you just want some random brush sizes and a few cloth patches this kit is fine. If you want to actually clean anything, purchase a different kit. But hey, it comes in a nice box.

The product is okay at best, but the bore brushes are thin and weak compared to Winchester brushes sold per-caliber. The rods are okay and very soft (won't mar barrels) but, for pistol use you have to screw in an adapter, the extensions do not use the same threads as standard brushes, jags and mops, it's a minor annoyance but they tend to add up and overall make this kit seem pretty cheap and flimsy.

The case has space for everything and is nice if you just want a quick clean up kit at an alright price. If you buy it and throw away the brushes and replace them with thicker, better brushes it will be alright, but you still have to screw on that adapter.

Comes with a pistol and a shotgun handle. Pistol handle broke on first use, rendering all pistol accessories decorative. Regret this purchase.

There are not any markings or instructions on the caliber of the brushes offered, so you guess the size. My biggest frustration is the plastic tip to hold the square cloth pads is horrible. I does not thread on very well at all, and if you thread it on all the way good luck getting it off. That is an issue since you use this piece every single time you clean your gun.

I purchased this as a gift for someone and was embarrassed to give it to them..The packaging was destroyed, there were missing pieces, and the pieces that were in the kit were junk..I ended up going to Cabela's and spending a little bit more money for a far superior cleaning kit..I would not recommend this to ANYONE.

cleaning kit is very handy. Wish it had instructions for what is what and how it fits together.

This is what I expected and have already used it. ALready had lubricant and this fit the need.
