I got the green sprouts Baby Bath Mat green sprouts Baby Bath Mat It fits almost perfectly in the tub and keeps her from slipping when she stands or lays back.

I never ever write reviews. Not because I dont like the things I buy but because I'm freaking lazy. BUT, this product is so great that I decided to step up and start sharing my experiences.

My first thought when I saw this tub online was, "Woah, thats the best designed baby tub I've seen" (and I've looked at probably a hundred different options.) My second thought was, " It looks really small in those pictures. Is it going to be big enough?" So if you are concerned about size and/or finding a better deal, then this review will be for you. If not, then stop reading ;-)

I should start by telling you my situation. My daughter is two years old about 25.5lbs and about 34" tall. My wife and I recently moved into a new apartment in the city. Our old place had a full size bathtub but the new one only has a 2.5' X 2.5' stand alone shower. We tried getting our daughter to shower instead of bathe but it scared the crap out of her so we gave up. Thus began my hunt for a well designed baby bath that would fit in our shower but not be too small for a two year old. (most are designed with only infants in mind.)

Style/Price/Competition

Obviously this tub has a very nice contemporary design with some steller color shades, that much is clear from the pics.

Q: "Is there another like it in form and style, possibly with a lower price tag?"
A: Sure there are a few. Personally I dont find their design's are as sleek but never the less here are a few.

The Eurobath Tub PRI EuroBath, Pearl White is a fairly priced alternative. I have a few personal issues with it.

This tub is exactly as described. It is the perfect size for our 18 month daughter and the lime green color is fresh, modern and clean. I like that we don't have to waste water filling up the full-sized tub.

You may need to get a non-slip mat of some sort. Our daughter was slipping and sliding at first until she figured out a position to hold herself firmly against the sides. I tried putting down a towel but the towel just ended up floating around in the water and we would have to reposition it whenever she moved around. I went to two stores today to find non-slip stickers to put at the bottom of the tub, but struck out. I'm going to shelf this tub until I find a non-slip mat or stickers to use.

EDIT: There are two holes at the bottom of the tub so water can drain. The problem is that the holes are located about one inch above the bottom of the tub so it creates a lip for water to stay. I've been trying every which way to turn/flip/shake the water out but just sloshes around in there! Argh! What a dumb design. I am changing my rating from four stars to two. Only reason it gets a two star is that the design is still cute and the tub itself is a good size for my daughter. I will have my husband drill holes at the bottom so the water can drain. Otherwise, it will be a mold fest inside the tub. Gross!

Really nice tub for our 2yo toddler. All other tubs seem to have built in seats and bits sticking out. I was afraid of him hurting himself when he moved around. This tub has none if that, and is good size and deep enough for a nice playful bath. Not as bulky as others it fits away nicely in the corner when not in use

Our condo bathroom is shower only so we were delighted with this small, chic designed tub. We chose this over an inflatable tub for peace of mind knowing it will be strong and durable. The sides provide great support for our 6 month old to hold on to and is very stable, which is great since he can't quite sit up on his own. When not in use, the tub is a great storage bin for toys, soap, towels, etc. The floor of the tub can be a little slippery, but putting down a towel can help.

We are currently "tubless" until the renovation is complete. I needed something to bathe my 12 month old in, as her little infant whale tub was getting too small. This tub ROCKS. I was hesitant because I read several reviews before purchasing. Many of them stated problems with water getting trapped inside, and then a mold/mildew problem. The manufacturer must have fixed that, because it has NEVER happened to mine, and quite honestly I'm not sure how it could. The water goes in the tub, and there is a draintube at the bottom where it pours DIRECTLY outside. The other thing that concerned me upon reading was about how slippery the bottom is. I agree, for babies under 12 months (or babies that aren't steady sitters yet) this could be a problem. It hasn't been for mine, but if it is a problem - all you have to do is buy the sticky tub things that you put in a big bath and put them on the bottom. This tub is SO much easier to bathe in rather than leaning over a big bath tub. I put it in the bottom of our master shower and it is PERFECT. SHe is now 19 months, and I am going to try and keep her in it as long as possible (even after her bathroom is finished)!! :) She loves it, and it's not too big or overwhelming. I would not suggest using this with infants or young babies though.
