Hopscotch Days is the true story of a little girl's growing up, secure in the singularly insecure time between the World Wars. Those were the days of depression, with World War II looming on the horizon. In spite of anxiety and gloom, they were the days when families didn't talk about values, they just had them. And for a child, they were the days of jump ropes and roller skates, jacks and mumblety-peg. They were "hopscotch days."
