Insight into His Journey through segregation to a Federal Judgeship,
By
This review is from: Horace T. Ward: Desegregation of the University of Georgia, Civil Rights Advocacy, and Jurisprudence (Hardcover)
This is a well written documentation of historical events. I know a lot of the people personally and remember when most of the events happened. On a personal level it is a triumph for a young black kid growing up in LaGrange Ga. the first African American to attempt entry into the Univ. of Ga. school of Law, but was denied...then worked to help Hamilton Holmes and Charlayne Hunter gain acceptance. He later attended Northwestern Law and now sits as a Federal Judge. An amazing journey, Amazing insight into two different worlds one white and one Black. A must read for those seeking truth about the Civil Rights movement and Jim Crow Days in Georgia and those interested in LAW.
