5.0 out of 5 stars A History of the Tuigan Wars, April 10, 2005
This review is from: Horde Campaign (AD&D/Forgotten Realms Accessory FR12) (Paperback)
The prior review refers to a different item: The Forgotten Realms Horde Campaign Box Set (ISBN 0880388684).

This book is FR12, of the classic Forgotten Realms FR-series of modules & accessories. It is a guidebook based on the Empires Trilogy, itself loosely based on Europe & the Orient's struggles with the Mongols. Chapters detail the progression of the wars, with pages of color plates of military personnel involved in the conflict.

Great detail for an epic campaign and an underappreciated segment of the Forgotten Realms Campaign.

3.0 out of 5 stars Realms setting accessory, March 29, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Horde Campaign (AD&D/Forgotten Realms Accessory FR12) (Paperback)
This is a D&D 2nd edition Forgotten Realms boxed set describing the Tuigan, a mongol type people and their homelands, the area between the normal realms area, Al Quadim and Kara Tur. There is a novel trilogy based on this setting and the mongol type hordes that live there. There is also a trilogy of modules based on this product and setting.

The boxed set covers a vast geographic area (roughly small continent sized)and so does not get as specific as smaller focused products. It does go into depth about the Tuigan people and culture.

Probably best for having the complete overview of the official realms along with the products for the areas described above and Matica if a complete world overview is desired. Also useul if a DM plans on having a party actually travel to or from Kara Tur and the normal realms.
