4.0 out of 5 stars Bad pedals and seat
The bike has many programs. But the seat is not soft; it is also hard to tighten the pedals.

The previous two comments are on the money. The left pedal is very confusing. I tried to tighten it clockwise but it simply would not work. 1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this bike, March 14, 2007

The previous two comments are on the money. The left pedal is very confusing. I tried to tighten it clockwise but it simply would not work. I then tightened it counterclockwise, which is the usual way to install a left bicycle pedal. This worked rather well and I easilly tightened the pedal fully into the crank shaft. I completed the rest of the bike and I took my first ride. After about 20 rotations, the left pedal came completely out of the crank shaft and fell to the floor. I now presume that the correct way to install the left pedal is clockwise. Unfortunately, the threads are screwed up so badly that I doubt that I'll ever be able to re-attach the pedal short of welding it onto the bike. In other words, $200 down the drain on this piece of garbage.

3.0 out of 5 stars Exercise bike, great price and looks great, if I could assemble it..., January 3, 2007

I bought this because I needed an exercise bike and the price was beyond belief. Well, it is all assembled other than I can't get the pedals properly into the sockets. That may be my own problem, as I am worried about stripping the threads or forcing the screwing in of the pedals. I'm going to use some WD-40 and try again...for now it has been unused. But, will be again attempting the assemblage and assume things will go better in this new year.

4.0 out of 5 stars leave mechanics to the mechanics, September 29, 2008
This review is from: Horizon CFS Upright Bike (Sports)
as mentioned before, i had same problems with pedal installation. come to find out it was a factory screw-up. the interior clutch for the fan wheel was improperly aligned. once this was addressed, well, i'm still biking since 7/2006
