It's been about four months. No issues at all yet. It's not as nice as the livestrong ones that this company also manufactures and sells at a similar price point but I had read lots of stories of those ones breaking so ill take a little less flashy options for one that's going to last. Honestly these machines are all way overpriced for what they are but we Americans are obsessed with fitness equipment so they can mark it up and we still buy. Even with my feelings on that I'd still recommend buying one like this vs the 300 dollar ones. This will last a long time. The cheapo ones won't.
Delivery was good. It's very heavy so have help if you need to get it into the house. Assembly was pretty easy so long as you can follow instructions. Took me maybe an hour or so. Directions where clear and parts are labeled so its pretty simple. I'd reccomend it.

I bought this product about a month ago and used it everyday till today. Good for the cardio activity. But there are problems.
1. You can not place your tablet or a book on the console. There is no hinge to keep your tablet stable.
2. The moving handles always gets in your way when you try to get water bottle or remote from the holders.
3. The tracking speed becomes erratic when you do reverse pedaling. And goes like 12 or 17 or 21 miles per hour which throws off your calorie count and total distance.
4. Biggest problem was that it makes a loud clicking noise when pedaling. This comes from my left pedal. And this noise starts after about 10min of my workout and continues till end. I searched on internet and other people have the same problem which the support people were not able to fix.

Have been very pleased with this machine so far. Only glitch has been that after arrival and assembly the track, rpm and distance did not work on led screen. We called horizon and they sent repair man to our home in a few days. Problem solved. Great product so far

I was a member of a gym, but wanted to be able to work out at home. This elliptical is better than the commercial machine at the gym. Level one on this is harder than level five on the one at the gym...which kicked my butt at first (but then I'm 41 and in so-so shape). It works great and leaves me a long way to get into better shape. At first I didn't like the arched footpads, but I've come to appreciate them. I'm very happy with my purchase so far.

This is a nice machine. We use it at least 5 days a week. Very smoothe operation. Really quiet and sturdy. The item is a bit pricey but it works well.

So far so good - I read the other reviews before I purchased this elliptical from Horizon. I have experience with horizon's elliptical machines I've owned another one for over eight years, and had no problems with it so I felt confident with the purchase of this new one. Our elliptical(s) get used just about everyday by someone in the family.

The new one EX79 was easy to assemble and took a bit over an hour, I jumped on it immediately after assembly (and reading the manual) and was smooth and working without any noise. The magazine holder issue that some reviewers mentioned was no big deal for me - I can't read while working out, I'm more concerned about breathing and push it pretty hard to raise my heart rate, I did put my iPad on the holder and it sat on there without any issue - the lip it sits on could be a bit bigger for the magazine / book readers.

I was not impressed with the heart rate monitor it seems to take to long to capture the bpm, the manual says you need 15 to 20 seconds for it to register the heart's bpm - seems to take longer than that and sometimes show bpm when your not even holding on to the grips. Most machines are not that accurate with built in heart monitors, I have a chest strap that is way more accurate if you want to push yourself.

This one comes with more programs than my old one and I like that, the footing is good, it's a good size, my iPhone plugs into the console and the sound is decent for an elliptical machine - overall I'm happy with the purchase - and will update this review after a couple of months of usage.
