The T73 is easily storable, thanks to Horizon's exclusive Featherlight lift, which incorporates two hydraulic shocks to assist you when raising and lowering the deck. They even hold the deck in place above 45 degrees, eliminating drops. The ultra-compact, fold-on-nose design is the safest, easiest in its class.
The Horizon Quietdrive system uses an integrated digital drive for fast, accurate control. Its continuous duty motor--the same type found in health club units--also incorporates large magnets to keep the RPM low, which translates to a quieter motor that will run longer and generate more power than other treadmill motors.

About Treadmills
Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home.
From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface.
While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.

Terrific treadmill, quality on approaching professional ones, great value,

Treadmill itself:
Pros: Great build, high quality heavy metal frame, well cushioned and spacious tread area, inclines well, VERY quiet (I was very surprised). Nice safety stop feature with magnetic clip you wear; if you fall, etc., it stops IMMEDIATELY, not just slows down. Belt area seems to be well designed, few places I could see where little fingers could get into trouble, better than other treadmills I've seen. Built-in fan seems silly, but actually works fairly well. Cons: Doesn't fold up into completely like other treadmills I've seen (belt area hangs down at around 70-75 degrees rather than 90 degrees), I pretty much keep it down all the time as a result. Cupholders while nice and wide are fairly shallow. That being said, I don't use/need them, just commenting. Have to power it off at base of motor, at front. Awkward to reach if you have it facing a wall as I do. Can't comment yet on long term reliability, but comes with a very good warranty and seems to be incredibly well built. Assembly: They include all the necessary tools, first and foremost is an extra long Allen wrench. Didn't need any other tools. Pretty much just need to attach the arms and posts to the already assembled motor/belt area, then attach the console. The console is all plastic (no biggie), but was a bit of a bear to attach on because it seems to be precision fit. Don't know if one of my holes was just a bit off. However, I was able to put it all together by myself (I'm sure easier with two people) in about 40 minutes. Aside from the console, it was a breeze. Packaging & Shipping: Very well packaged, which is important as it looked like it went through a lot to get to me. If you get the same company (Eagle) I got for Amazon to send it to me, beware. They aren't very prompt, will call you after it gets to a local center and arrange for a date. I understand the need to do so, but they couldn't/wouldn't deliver mine for another week even though we had someone home everyday. Then they would only drop it in the garage. Much too big for one person to move; however, once installed, can be wheeled around relatively easily by one person (get a ramp I guess), though I wish the wheels were slightly larger. Overall: Despite not being happy with the shipping, I am well pleased, great value on a treadmill that really seems to probably retail over $1200 as advertised (often this is not the case and inflated). If you have been doing your research, you know it's important to get a high quality one that will last a while, and the magic cutoff seems to be around $1000. I'm glad I paid much less than that with free shipping; a look on the internet shows Amazon has the best price by far especially if on sale, Goldbox, etc.. Treadmill itself gets 5 stars, 4 overall because shipping was not usual Amazon standards and did NOT ship by 2 day Amazon Prime. Will update if I have any problems, new insight, or (shudder) have to initiate warranty service. Until then, no news is good news! Hope this helps.

I don't ever write reviews, but this time I'll make an exception. This is a great treadmill. I've purchased 3 other treadmill from local stores (Sear... Kmar... Wal...) trying to save some money and keep it around $500 and returned every one. too noisey or rickety. A year has passed and thought I'd give it another shot. Looked at the reviews and went with this one hoping that it would be sturdy and quite as promised. OMG, it is a beautiful machine. did have a slight problem, when it was delivered, the box was ripped open on the corner and the protective cap on the back lag was busted off. I emailed Horizon on their web site and they are shipping me out a replacement out this same day. That's great customer service. But the actual treadmill is wonderful. Nice long platform for a good stride without feeling you're going to fall off.... and quiet. If your looking for a great walk (or run) at a decent price, this is the way to go.
Update:4/18/08 Still in love with this machine!! Took me a while to actually get my lazy butt off the sofa and use this thing on a daily basis but have been using it every day for a month now. it's great!!!! We pop in a dvd and I spend the first half of a movie walking... this machine is quiet enough that it doesn't disturb the others who are also watching the movie!! Very happy with this investment... plus my butt is looking better in those (soon to be) skinny jeans! :) UPDATE: 5/1/08. STILL LOVE IT!! Not a daily exerciser but I alternate this with my Wii for my workouts. Instead of doing a fast walk at 4mph, I lower it to 2mph and crank up the tilt to a 12% grade. Let me tell you, I start sweating like I was running at 7mhp... I've even found a few games I can play on the Wii while walking on the treadmill. Still runs as sturdy and quiet as day one. Best investment I've made.

I received this, damaged in shipping. When Amazon told me either return it (it's huge and heavy and the box has to come apart to put it together) or contact Horizon, I emailed Horizon. Within two days, Horizon sent needed parts and in less then a week they had someone come to my house and repair the treadmill. The treadmill works great!
