Not Seb's best effort,

Let's start out by saying that I am a HUGE Seb Fontaine fan....however, this 2 disc release left me cold. It did not have the intensity or dark feel that I have come to expect from Seb. The tracks blend monotonously into one another and not one really jumps out at you, except for "La La Land" (for obvious reasons). If you are new to the progressive house sounds of Seb Fontaine, just don't buy this album as your first.

Seb Fontaine does a good job on this set. It might be his best...but only owning a few of his cd's...i know it has to be up there as one of his best. Both cd's always keep you interested and never really lose its feel...thats the good thing about this one. It's dark, funky, dirty and very tasty! He doesn't let perfecto down with this one

It seems all the tracks build up to the 5th and 6th track, which are good tracks. The drums are kinda muffled, and the mixing is a little off. The second disc is much better than the first, starting of with La La Land. The track selection is good. The album has the same form as Sasha Ibiza, and Sander K's Nubreed, where the first album starts off slow and builds up to a decent set, and prepares for the second cd. The cd ends with the two best atmospheric tracks Ive heard, with Sidekick Tricks & Cequenza Breathe the Music. It is less funky than Type 1, so be prepared.

I wasn't sure about buying this cd, but i bought it and guess what? it's amazing. It's the best progressive album of 2002 so far, and the best music Perfecto records has to offer (too sad for oakenfold, isn't it? ). The music in here is very groovy, funky and perfect for a highway drive. The trip in here always leads you to a different place and I love that.

Can I get a plate of pimpness hold the ...,

I have a friend that kind of likes this music and bought the cd because they share the same last name. I put it on in his car and all of my friends loved it and they hate trance. This cd gives you a mood and a feeling that is harder to find in trance and house these days. This takes it back to the grooves and drums that gave trance its name. One of the best trance-house cds I have ever heard.

This series of perfecto releases blows away the prototype series. I heard cd1 on the radio and fell in love w/ Sebs progessive funky house. I cant stand anytype of trance and thankfully there is none on here. Cd2 did not dissappoint either. I am now a huge Seb Fontaine fan now and look forward to seeing him live in SF.

I have yet to listen to more than the first 5 songs, but as of yet, this is enough for me to give this a definite 2 thumbs up. It's really hard to find "non-overdone," over-funked, overly-pretty house and trance, but this seems a perfect blend. A definite buy if you loved the pre-mainstream live oakenfold mixes from a few years ago.
