This is a pretty good gauge for the money. My 1st choice would have been Sinclair's Concentricity Gauge but theirs doesn't have the ability to "correct" bullet runout. Now that I bought and have used Hornady's gauge; I'm not disappointed. It's reasonably accurate and easy to use and quite simple to correct run-out (when required). It's not exactly rocket science. The Sinclair gauge has multiple bearings that you roll the casing over as opposed to Hornady's holds the casing in a collet; but they both work for measurement and Hornady's lets you correct it. Not a bad deal.

I read about this before it was released and immediately placed an order for it. While waiting NRA brought their convention to Phx and I had the opportunity to play with the tool and talk to Hornady's techs.
I have been utterly delighted with the unit. Simple to use, simple to make corrections. There's some minor flex in the frame, but you have to be pretty heavy handed for it to be evident. For anyone between Bench Rest and Duffer, this is an excellent accuracy tool and well worth the money IMO. I recommend it highly.

Is it worth it, maybe. Does it work great, definitely. There is a big debate on whether or not run-out is a defining point in accuracy, but if you think it is, then this is definitely top of the line tool. I usually have bullets with less than .001" runout (using my Hornady dies...) and once in a while, I will get a wild one with up to .010"... This detects it and will easily correct it. I'm sold on it...

Hornady LNL gauge,

I have loaded ammo with no accuracy problems with Lee loading equipment but thought I could make it better with the gauge. Well, not really! As I checked all ammo loadings with the concentricity gauge it showed all to be within specs and needed no corrections. It is nice looking, well made, and looks good on the loading table.
