5.0 out of 5 stars A VERY POWERFUL SPELL INDEED, March 8, 2008
This review is from: Horns of Silence (MP3 Download)
If SPELLBLAST were a real spell cast by wizards or witches, here is what the ingredients and incantations would look like . . .

To the boiling cauldron, add a BLIND GUARDIAN CD, chased by one of DARK MOOR for the sound.

For the lyrics, toss in Lord of the Rings and a shelf of Dungeon and Dragon books.

If no books are available, you can substitute CD booklets from RHAPSODY OF FIRE or perhaps ELVENKING.

Before mixing, add in a guitar string, accordian key, piano wire and a drum stick (not a chicken one).

Mix the ingredients.

The following must be done by one of Italian blood:

Sing the incantation clearly (in English).

If all goes well, those around you, whether they be goblins, elves, humans, hobbits or demons, will be banging their heads in time to this great spell!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent anthemic fantasy-metal, May 16, 2008
This review is from: Horns of Silence (MP3 Download)
It's fast, it's melodic, lots of guitar solos, complex melodies and tempo changes. Great riffs including really fast passages; nice storytelling too. If you like fast epic metal, give these guys a chance and buy a couple of the MP3s; you might just really like it. In the Name of Odin is a great song to start with.
