Transfer quality of ECHO BRIDGE 4 movie sets is quite good, although film stock is not always in the best of condition. A bargain price also makes these small collections attractive. All titles are contained on a single disc.
With this eleventh edition, the monsters rule. Included are overgrown bloodsuckers, unseen prehistoric beasties and a jungle-set screamer that pairs Lon Chaney Jr with Raymond Burr! SYNOPSES for "Horror Classics V.11"-- ATTACK OF THE GIANT LEECHES-- Roger Corman's cast and crew made this quickie at the old Charlie Chaplin studio. Rednecks disappear or are attacked in the local swamp, so a game warden investigates. This real cheesefest has a wormy ending. BRIDE OF THE GORILLA-- Jungle plantation owner is transformed into a giant ape by a voodoo curse. Watch for the original Cisco Kid sidekick (Pancho) Martin Garralaga, as a native. SHE DEMONS-- Ludicrous story of a couple found on an uncharted isle by a crazed Nazi who also holds prisoner a group of beauty contest winners. When storm troopers aren't whipping these girls, their leader extracts some unspecified gland fluid from them in an effort to cure his facially-disfigured wife. Includes a requisite "Igor" and the Diane Nellis Dancers as the titled demonesses. SOUND OF HORROR-- A group of treasure hunters set off a cave explosion inside a Greek mountain, unearthing a nest of eggs that hatch into invisible flesh-eating dinosaurs! (Who was it that said: "What you can't see can't hurt you"?) Featured actors in HORROR CLASSICS V.12 are Bela Lugosi, Edgar Buchanan (Uncle Joe on TV's "Petticoat Junction") and Clayton Moore (without his "Lone Ranger" mask). Parenthetical numbers preceding titles are 1 to 10 viewer poll ratings found at a film resource website.
