3.0 out of 5 stars They only come out at night
Transfer quality of ECHO BRIDGE 4 movie packs is quite good, although film stock is not always in the best of condition. A bargain price also makes these small collections attractive. All titles are contained on a single disc.

Of special note is the print of 'The Devil's Nightmare' on this DVD which is interestingly the Redemption release of 'The Devil's Nightmare' complete with the introduction by the countess that is on every Redemption DVD (Another reviewer has mentioned that this opening is not on their copy which probably means there are two versions of the DVD, not the first time this has happened in this series. On my copy I have the introduction which has no way to skip it except the fast-forward button. As far as the copy of 'The Devil's Nightmare being uncut; it is the same uncut version that is on the Redemption DVD that I have on mine.). This means that you get a clean widescreen print of 'The Devil's Nightmare' as compared to the other three movies on this DVD which are Platinum's usual grainy affair. Four movies on one DVD at this price is a great deal.-Bob

SYNOPSES for "Horror Classics V.6"--

THE DEVIL'S NIGHTMARE-- Euro-scream queen Erika Blanc is the succubus in this Gothic tale of seven travelers stranded together at a creepy inn. Each of these people is guilty of one of the Seven Deadly Sins, and that night, one-by-one they must answer to Satan's helper.

MOON OF THE WOLF-- Above-average made-for-TVer about a werewolf that kills several residents of a Louisiana town and the local sheriff who tries to solve these murder cases. Excellent cast overcomes budget and effects limitations.

NIGHT TRAIN TO TERROR-- A rock band is unaware that riding on the train with them are God and Satan. The two consider passengers' fates as they discuss three stories of human behavior. Great concept is somewhat spoiled by a lack of continuity.

SNOWBEAST-- A Bigfoot-like monster stalking a Colorado resort kills and eats some of the skiers who came there for a winter festival. The town sheriff joins forces with the resort owner's son (who caught a glimpse of the beast) in efforts to track it down. Scripted by Joseph Stefano-- he wrote several episodes of the original OUTER LIMITS TV show.

In HORROR CLASSICS V.7, a med student is afraid of dead bodies, a murdered man's ghost haunts his killers, Boris Karloff collects zombie slaves for his island plantation and the undead walk at night.

4.0 out of 5 stars What Redemption Opening????, February 9, 2005
This review is from: Horror Classics Vol. 6 (DVD)
I was confused by a review that mentioned that the {Platinum dvd has the Redemption opening for The Devil's Nightmare. I noticed the redemption girl on the menu but the movie stats with the start of the movie on my dvd.
Night Train to terror was so weird we all loved it..Haven't checked out Snow Beast and Moon Of The Wolf yet.
Can anyone tell me if Devil's Nightmare is uncut?

3.0 out of 5 stars Horror Classics Vol. 6 - ID#12289, August 12, 2004
This review is from: Horror Classics Vol. 6 (DVD)
Four movies on one disc.
Horror Classics Vol. 6 - Platinum Disc ID#12289

#1: Night Train to Terror - 1985 - Director: Gregg C. Tallas

#2: Snowbeast - 1977 - Director: Herb Wallerstein

#3: The Devils Nightmare - 1971 - Director: Jean Brismée

#4: Moon of the Wolf - 1972 - Director: Daniel Petrie

All in all; decent picture, Decent sound. Nothing special, but menus all seem to work and thats rare for cheap compilation DVD's.
