BETTER THAN THE REST !!,
By bloodfeast138 (Melbourne,Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Horror High Presents: Prom Queen Massacre (Audio CD)
Forget Misfits meets Nutley Brass,Balzac and Osaka popstar (well unless you're after that 45) this is the kind of album Misfits records should be putting outLiving in Australia I really didn't know much about Horror High other than Michale Graves was on the label and this compilation album of their current roster really made me sit up and take notice. Zombeast in particular are a great band "Wolfskin Killer" is an awesome song and the band have,in my opinion, a great future ahead of them. It was also a pleasant introduction to Blitzkid,Calabrese etc who I had never heard before. I also enjoyed Wednesday 13's narratives that accompany varying songs on the album. There's a variety of differing styles on the album making it a bit more than just a Horror punk compilation, not everything was too my taste but that's the joy of a compilation you're not just stuck with the songs of one artist and as long as the good outweighs the bad you'll still enjoy the album. Even with a few tracks on there that I wasn't personally that bothered about this compilation still has way more going for it than anything currently being offered up by Misfits records.
