Most excellent book of horror fiction,
This review is from: Horror Through The Ages (Paperback)
I enjoyed this book immensely. It had a wide range of times mixed in with a wide range of styles. There were a couple stories that weren't really my cup of tea, but that is not to say that they weren't still well written. My two personal favorite stories were The Devil & Doctor Longbottom and The Grave of Cindy Darner, though, again, I wouldn't say that there are any that were poorly written. The quality of this Lame Goat Press anthology cannot be questioned.

Static Movement Review of Horror Through the Ages,
This review is from: Horror Through The Ages (Paperback)
Horror Through the ages is an anthology of over 200 pages put together by Christopher Jacobsmeyer through his new publishing company, Lame Goat Press.Horror Through the Ages features a multitude of horror stories from virtually every time period, prehistoric to distant future. Thirty stories and poems from Kaolin Imago Fire, John C. Mannone, Chris Bartholomew, AJ Brown, Deborah Walker, Lucas Pederson, Alva J. Roberts, Domenik Lopane, K. Curran Mayer, Todd T. Castillo, Kody Boye, Rob Rosen, David W. Landrum, Karandeep Dhami, Jacob Henry Orloff, Kevin Wallis, William Wolford, Stefanie Sherwood, Martin A. Zeigler, Christopher Jacobsmeyer, Rochelle Potkar, John "JAM" Arthur Miller, Sean Monaghan, Jodi MacArthur, John X. Grey, Jessy Marie Roberts, and Robert C. Eccles, with some writers having more than one story. The cover illustration was done by Lucas Pederson, who also has a story in the anthology. We have cavemen, Amazon women warriors, Zombies, future and interplanetary colonization. We have distant planets and an unexplored island, the old west, and plenty of unknown evils. The stories in this book are unique, and well written. Hats off to this new small press for taking this business seriously and putting out a handsome volume of the genre most of us hold dear, horror. |
