5.0 out of 5 stars As nasty and raw as rock n' roll can get May 19, 2000
Format:Audio CD
I bought this album because it came out on the same label that puts out Andre Williams and boy, was I ever blown away by what came out of my speakers when I put this CD on. Beyond extreme, this might be the craziest sounding rock n' roll record I've ever purchased. Rockabilly and blues progressions in a wash of distortion and reverb, vocals trying (unsuccessfully) to be heard above the din and trebley guitar solos jumping up at twice the volume as the rest of the song - this is SICK music and that's the way I like it. For fans of The Cramp's early stuff, Pussy Galore and Doo Rag.

3.0 out of 5 stars The A side is worth the cash May 11, 2000
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This record came out the same day as the new Andre Williams which is on in the red as well. Of course it's hard for any garage/punk band to compare to Mr. Rythm but this record did get my toes tappin. This is a little too much punk and too little garage for my taste but the guitar riffs are great when they aren't cranking the distortion and wailing with the power chords. The vocals are snotty but the album as a whole is kind of generic garage trash. But the first side of the album is worth the cash anyway. The second side feels like they were just trying to get enough songs to put out a long player. Another fine piece of wax from In the Red.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get beat-down Iowa-style. June 28, 2000
By Big Al
Format:Audio CD
I have to admit, I'm biased. I've known all the guys in the band for over 5 years- so I've always been appreciative of what they've done. Having said that, ITR really captured their sound. If you get a chance, check them out live. These fellas are the real deal.
