There was no description of this book back when I ordered it, so I was buying with a leap of faith.I'm so glad I ordered this! It is now one of my favorite horse books! They ought to release an updated version every 5 years or so. The new description above covers most of the contents. This also has old photographs, fine paintings (hunting, jumping, children with ponies), clocks, woodcuts, and illustrated plates. No canes or walking sticks that I noticed. 2 or 3 riding hats, but no saddles? Note that "lamps" means the light base. I saw no themed lampshades, sadly. The art is collected from around the world, not just America. The last page features a remarkable "Horse Prayer" PETA would love. This is a beautiful book for art lovers and horse lovers. If you are searching for certain collectibles, you may want to get a more specialized book. |
