This EP is one that you simply must have if you enjoy Alessi; or even if you have never heard of her until now. It includes "The Horse" from "Notes from the Treehouse", as well as 3 other songs which you can only find on this EP. "Neighbor's Birds", "Let's Race", and "Patchwork of Dreams", all of which are lovely. "Neighbor's Birds" reminds me of playing in a department store when I was very young; and hiding in the racks of coats; it is a wonderful thing to be reminded of. It is endless innocent, too, and lovely sounding. "Let's Race" takes a more serious turn, though it is just as innocent and lovely; I take it to be about a shy girl being enticed out of her shyness in order to get close to her crush. In the end, she is "So glad you dragged me outside, you dragged me outside..". My interpretation, though, could be completely illegitimate, but regardless, it is my favorite off of this EP; and I can really relate to it. The last song is "Patchwork of dreams", which, again, I can relate to. I made a big move lately, and I knew that "Leaving means leaving what I like behind; but I won't be sad". This song is another great one that has really helped me cope with my tension regarding moving to a strange city. It is beautifully composed, as well, which is quite an upside.
All in all, this is a must-have for anyone.
Especially for anyone who likes a very charming record. It doesn't get more charming than Alessi, I tell you.
