5.0 out of 5 stars An early 70's classic, June 2, 2008
This review is from: A Horse with No Name (Album Version) (MP3 Download)
This was America's first single and first big hit. Horse With No Name by America is a classic from the early 1970's. Dewey Bunnell wrote and sings lead on the song. It was released in late 1971 and quickly moved up the charts first in the UK then in the US. It stayed at number 1 for three weeks on both the Billboard and Cashbox singles chart and number 3 on the Adult Contemporary chart. The single was certified GOLD by the RIAA. It was also an international hit making the charts in several other countries as well. If you like acoustic based folk rock, you should enjoy this song.

This is the original mix of the song and was produced by British rock pioneer, Ian Samwell.
