I purchased book specifically thinking it would be a helpful book for my students. It truly is with lots of great information on many disciplines of riding and true to the DK books it has great photos SHOWING how to do some of the tasks.

This is a great book for kids just starting out. Gives a little reality for those who know nothing about caring for horses. My grand-daughters , one is more experienced, the other is 7 and just starting, enjoyed the book on different levels. It doesn't talk down and doesn't over-whelm with facts and projects beyond their ability.
