This book covers the beauty and amazing grace that horses possess and how they can capture us with their whimsical moves and looks. There is not one picture in this book that doesn't make you think "oh my goodness, what a beautiful horse"! LOVE IT!

It is absolutely enthralling - I don't want to put it down.

This is an excellent gift for horse enthusiasts and for anyone who enjoys sheer beauty and majesty.
The photography is exemplary and without blemish.

If you are a casual artist such as myself and my sister literally every page has an amazing model for work.
Your money will be well spent and all your apprehensions will disinegrate the second you open the book.


I am going to order another one for myself.

P.s. It would make a great coffee table book

This was bought as an anniversary present for my parents who own several horses. They really enjoyed the pictures, as well as learning about some of the breeds they don't own.

We got this as part of a Christmas package for my sister-in-law who is confined to a wheelchair in a rest home. She loves horses. We took a quick look before wrapping it and sending it off and were totally impressed with the incredible photography. This is a quality, classic book of horse photos. Many of them have been taken at a very fast shutter speed, showing animals in fast motion. Others show the quiet moments and there are some amazing shots as well. Totally worth the cost for those who like horses, excellent photography, or both.

Great book, beautiful pictures. Unusual horses and horses in motion (captured well). Will enjoy for years. If you like horses, design and good composition or just beautiful pictures I think this will be a good book for you.
I am working on a mountain and ocean painting and want to add some horses to it, will be inspired from this book. Would recommend.

The photographs of horses display an artistry that takes your breath away! The beautifully composed photographs capture the spirit of each horse and thus transcend any simply representation of the animal. The written information rounds out the experience by offering background information on the horses and the process of photographing them. A truly lovely book.

OK, so the LAST thing I need is another book, but this was so breathtakingly beautiful, I HAD to have it!
Page after page of the power and grace and pure beauty of horses, captured by this talented author/photographer. It is pure art and deserves a place of honor in the home of any horse lover.

My only criticisms are:

1.)The cursive captions are difficult to read, as the ink is too light against the white pages.

2.) While many of these gorgeous animals are identified by breed and or name, there are many that have no captions. So when I come across one that takes my breath away, often there is no info at all.

Still this is a wonderful book, either for yourself or for the horse lover in your life. Highly recommended!

I got this book for my 11yr old daughter for Christmas. She is horse crazy and loved this book. It is full of beautiful pictures. It's a great book for any horse lover.

I purchased this book for a gift for a horse lover. The picture and title led me to believe that this was more of a personal memoir of the author and her personal horses. The pictures inside were beautiful, but the literary content was more a general information about horses, breeds etc... I was hoping for a more personal memoir and photos of the author for inspiration and insight on daily life in the presence of horses. Although disappointed that this book was not what I thought it would be, it will make a lovely coffee table book.

I ordered it from Utahfootgear. The service was great. I had some questions and he e-mailed me right back, also let me know when it was sent. My only concern was that it was a gift and he only had one choice for shipping - media mail. It arrived in time but would not have if I waited a day to order or was on the East Coast. Suggest he give more shipping options for those who may need it faster. Other than that I would order through him again.
