I didn't hear about this series until after it had aired on Animal Planet, so I was really happy when they came out with the DVD set of the episodes. Basically, it's a reality style documentary following the lives of junior riders competing for the Equitation Finals, all culminating with the Maclay Medal Final. Basically, it's the best of the best junior riders, battling it out to achieve their riding goals.

It's really interesting to get to see all the work and preperation that goes into competing at such a high level. It's very long hours, with hard labor. It takes a lot of mental toughness to ride at this level and try not to let the nerves and stress of it all effect your riding.

It's educational for any young rider, but also just really fun to watch. The way it's put together makes you really invested in each rider and her horse (I guarantee all of you will pick your favorite rider), and with each episodes end, you can't wait to find out what's going to happen in the next. With riding there are ALWAYS twists and turns, and things rarely go as planned.

I really hope Animal Planet will consider making another series like this, documenting equestrians, because it's a really under appreciated sport by many. But viewing this series, you can see this is definitely a SPORT.

I loved this show when it was on, but I missed a few of them. The DVD is really good. I loved watching them ride and I wish they showed more about the teens training, but you only see a few seconds of their lessons. I tried to observe how they did things to learn from it, but it was difficult. But it is still a good DVD to have to watch the teens that are high up.

This DVD Series is a must for any horse lover. My daughter watches it at every available moment. We have tried to get it for the last year, but to no avail. We then tried Amazon. To our amazement we found someone from the US who would deliver it to us. It arrived in extra quick time, just in time for my daughters birthday. I would recommend this Dvd to anyone interested in horses or horse riding as it gives great tips.

I'm a Japanese rider who lives in Tokyo. I wanted to watch this DVD because I wanted to know about the American Hunter-seat equitation world. I watched this DVD and quite enjoyed as young riders are competing each other for the common aim - the Maclay Final. They are competitive riders and each of them have thier own background. I enjoyed this DVD as a real drama.
