Very easy to read and understand
Dr. Ramey is one of the few vets that make sense of common ailments of the horse. I must congratulate him on his no nonsense answers to questions I've had about horses. thanks for writing such a great book.

This review is from: Horsefeathers: Facts Versus Myths About Your Horse's Health (Hardcover)
Horsefeathers is a fun book to read and brings up many ideas and information about horse husbandry. It is informative, yet basic and easy to understand. Not too specific or in depth into any subject, a nice overview.

Helpful but condescending, January 2, 2012
This review is from: Horsefeathers: Facts Versus Myths About Your Horse's Health (Hardcover)
The author does a good job of informing the reader of common "myths" in horse care, but his tone is continually condescending towards non-professionals. The book is well-researched, with a long list of references, years of experience, and data from many studies. I appreciated the clarification of issues such as colic, thrush, and yearling care. It would have been a more enjoyable read if the author "got off his high horse."
