Adventurous horse stories with a nice message,
By
This review is from: Horseland #1: Welcome to Horseland (Paperback)
I bought the Horseland series for my 6 yr-old after we watched the TV programme and were hooked. My daughter rides herself so can relate to the "horsey" things, and although the characters are older, at 11-14 yrs, the storylines are appropriate for younger readers. There is always a nice message about responsibility, friendship, truthfulness, etc that often naturally leads to a good conversation with the family about those things. The chapters are short enough to keep younger kids interested, but also a good length for older kids wanting to read for themselves. There are no colour illustrations, just a few black & white drawings.

my daughter enjoys these books and I don't mind buying them because they are good books with age appropriateness.
