5.0 out of 5 stars Finally: Acceptance.
I've lived all of my life attracted to other species, and during much of my adolescence, I would spend long hours alone at the zoo, just watching certain animals exhibit their gracefulness. I liked the monkeys especially, but it was so difficult to watch them in peace without being disturbed, since 'everyone loves monkeys'. Of course, I learned the full extent of...

This review is from: The Horseman: Obsessions of a Zoophile (New Concepts in Human Sexuality Series) (Hardcover)
I've been a zoophile my whole life and constaintly asked myself "Am I the only one?" Reading this book gave me a sence that there are others like me out there. Honestly though I cannot compare my life to that of Mr. Matthews. After all, everybodys life is different. But the one thing I can connect with Mr. Matthews is the feeling of love and togetherness with an animal partner. I cannot say that this book was the best thing that I've ever read, but it gave me a lukewarm feeling that I'm not the only one out there who finds animals sexually attractive. In the meantime, I'll be waiting for the next book on Zoophilia that happens to hit the market.

This review is from: The Horseman: Obsessions of a Zoophile (New Concepts in Human Sexuality Series) (Hardcover)
Of course, I learned the full extent of that phrase in "The Horseman," and I finally realized that my Zoophilic tendencies were not completely unusual. Thank you for creating such a wonderful book that celebrates sexuality of all types, even interspecial. I hope one day this novel may reach the the top of the best sellers list.

2.0 out of 5 stars Scarey book, somewhat not good for zoophile, February 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Horseman: Obsessions of a Zoophile (New Concepts in Human Sexuality Series) (Hardcover)
Though this book does show some good things about zoophiles, I also find that it could damage some newbie zoophiles because it does make a bad impression that all zoophiles are large and have a lot of problems. I do not say Mark Matthews is a bad person, just I do not support his book.

5.0 out of 5 stars I never thought I'd see the day......., May 8, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Horseman: Obsessions of a Zoophile (New Concepts in Human Sexuality Series) (Hardcover)
I never thought I'd see the day when a book would be released to the general public about zoophilia. AT LAST! I hope this can put so many closed minds at rest and answer so many questions that those who don't understand zoophilia ask. Every day I am challenged by these questions as a zoophile myself, and it has become woefully apparent that we are grossly misunderstood by the world at large (as if I didn't know that already) With any luck, this will set the record straight about a few things in the public's perception of our lifestyle.

5.0 out of 5 stars interesting, September 10, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Horseman: Obsessions of a Zoophile (New Concepts in Human Sexuality Series) (Hardcover)
I enjoyed this book a lot and found it an interesting read. It does not focus on animal [abuse], but animal love and kindness. No animals were harmed in the making of this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Resource, January 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Horseman: Obsessions of a Zoophile (New Concepts in Human Sexuality Series) (Hardcover)
This book is by far the best yet written on the topic of zoophilia. Unlike other writings, this book does not deal soley with the sexual issue, but also the emotional and moral issues as well. A must for anyone who wishes to aquire a library of sexually deviant literture.

4.0 out of 5 stars Powerful, indepth perspective of a zoophile, December 31, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Horseman: Obsessions of a Zoophile (New Concepts in Human Sexuality Series) (Hardcover)
I was quite pleased with the book, and hope that folks reading it will come to understand that zoophiles can form incredible loving bonds with their partners. People fear and hate what they do not understand. Perhaps if you read this book, your understanding of us will diminish your hatred and fears.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you ever thought you were the only one..., June 23, 1996
By A Customer
This review is from: The Horseman: Obsessions of a Zoophile (New Concepts in Human Sexuality Series) (Hardcover)
This powerful work illustrates how a person can learn to accept himself, despite the stigma society attaches to him. This book will fascinate you and make you challenge your own judgment at what love is, or can be, and what you can really feel love for. (Two hooves up!)
