I can't praise this book highly enough. Saddles are a tough subject to cover, but Mr Sherer has packed into this small handbook an immense amount of information, advice and explanation, all in easily understood terms for the average Joe or Jane. This could not only save you hundreds of dollars, it can greatly increase your riding enjoyment and satisfaction since you'll know exactly what to look for to judge quality, how to tell great from good, & good from bad. Also where to look, how to do it and why it matters. Written by a master saddlemaker. AAA+ in my opinion.
