This mounting block is sturdy and can take a beating. You don't have to worry about curious horses damaging it by chewing it.
My wife can easily move it around, it is very lightweight considering the size. The handle makes it easy to drag as well.

We bought this after seeing a friends mounting block she had owned for 3 years. These will last the test of time.

I purchased a horseman's pride mounting block and it lasted 6 months. Horse stepped on it and put a hoof through. It was OK during warmer months but when it got cold the polymer got extremely brittle and broke. All steps now have dangerous gashes/cracks in them from just human weight. Just a caution. Product would be fine to use around a very calm horse and outside a round pen or arena. Personally if I were to repurchase one then I would carry it out when I needed it and then put it in a warm place. The outdoors are not friendly to the polymer.

Although the block is rather heavy, I just drag it in the barn to where I need. I'm 5'4" and I was able to mount a 16.2hh TB. The owner of the horse had a 2 step block and it wasn't high enough for me. Same thing for a 15.1 and 15.3hh; if you're the size of the average jockey and you aren't riding ponies, only a 3 step will do. Also helps you with mounting, if you are not as limber as you used to be!
Sure beats trying to mount from a fence or a park bench!

We use this daily at the barn for all the kids and some of the adults too! No more pulling on saddles, we hop right up on the quarter horse and the 16.1hh thoroughbred. It's light enough for the kids to move though a bit awkward because of the shape and size. They don't complain and it doesn't bang their shins. The adults find it sturdy yet lightweight and very balanced. It's easy to carry if you use the handle in the step but each of us is guilty of picking it up by the hollow area. That doesn't work as well. By it's handle it is very easy to move one handed. I have been asked to get 2 more for other owners who love ours.

Had been at a friends riding horses when seen their steps. Had to have one for myself since having both knees replaced,I needed the help, was getting tired of finding a bucket! Shopped around and found mine on amazon a lot cheaper than anywhere else. Quick delivery too. I love them, very durable and easy to carry around.

I recently bought a really tall horse and needed more than the usual two step mounting block to help me mount. This one works perfectly for me... And the rest of the people at my barn to easily mount our horses.
