This small book is a great value, with excellent photos, illustrations, diagrams, maps, and charts. It is an amazing and professionally written 'pocket' book, with seemingly complete information on the history of horses and the various breeds and types. The book is divided into the following chapters: Introduction To Horses; Ponies; Light Horses; Heavy Horses; Wild And Feral Horses, and a Reference Section. 160 information crammed pages of fascinating reading and photos, to say the least. In fact, as a testament to my above claims, this book is to blame for my record setting visit to 'the john' recently... my wife tells me I was sitting in there for at least an hour 'horsing around'!
