5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Crossbow!!!!
I ordered this crossbow with mixed feelings and was suprised when I recieved it. It is very easy to set up and the quiver mount was corrected on my model. I did lock tight all the bolts and removed the scope bolts and used lock tight on them also and after over 75 shots so far nothing has come loose. I did this on all of my crossbows because I had a few bad experiences...

1.0 out of 5 stars terrible!!
Read a couple of good reviews so I thought I'd try it. After only about 6 shots the bow came apart.(no, it wasn't dry-fired) The lead weight in the pulley system actually flew back and broke my prescription glasses. Customer service at Horton couldn't have cared less. Said they would have someone call me back. They didn't.

I did this on all of my crossbows because I had a few bad experiences with things coming loose. This crossbow will perform with my $1000 Ten Point it may not be as fast but it is quieter and as dependable. I have already purchased my father one as well as my wife. They arent legal to hunt with in my home state but we use them in our neighboring state on our lease.

5.0 out of 5 stars Husband Loves It!!, February 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Horton® Summit HD 150 Value Crossbow Package (Misc.)
After much research on crossbows, I decided to purchase this model. It was hard to surprise my husband with a crossbow which he had no input on. This was a really good price on this model, and it is a really good product. My husband put it together with no problem, went outside to use it, and was blown away by the power it has. Don't hesitate to buy this, it is well worth the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars horton summit 150 crossbow, November 3, 2011
This review is from: Horton® Summit HD 150 Value Crossbow Package (Misc.)
My wife and both killed two deer each this year with this crossbow. Two 52yrd shots and two at about 50 feet. One was a fixed blade and two were rage and one a g-5, all went through the deer except for the last one. Your dont need a 1,000.00 tenpoint to kill deer with. Save your money for gas and gear.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB!!!, August 26, 2011
This review is from: Horton® Summit HD 150 Value Crossbow Package (Misc.)
I haven't had mine long so maybe it's a little early to give it 5 stars. It went together easily and seems super high quality. Much heavier than my old Barnett 150# recurve, but a very solid feel. No matter which version of this model you het you'll most likely want a sling if you plan on trouncing through the woods in search of fury things, so a good set of rifle sling swivels will be needed. I've read that the safty is a little loud when you select the fire position, but this is due to a thumb or finger push and the noise it makes when it snaps into position. If you control it with a thumb and forefinger grip, problem solved. I went with the peep sight model and all I can say is that the front fiber optic sight really does the job, yet I'm getting a 4X32 Barnett scope and a Horton mount for it, not that it'll make that much difference. This is my fourth crossbow. It didn't cost a small fortune, but it's by far my best one. It's that obvious the quality is there! The limbs are great to!
