OK Installing this should be a no brainer and you would have to be a moron to need instructions. True, IF all the parts are there.

Be advised that there should be a self tapping screw that comes with the mount that you must use. Mine came with only the base and so installation became problematic. They could have included instructions, they could have simply noted on the packaging "contents - one base and one screw", or they could have tapped the hole in the base at the factory but no such seemingly common sense helpful touches.

Horton customer service was pretty good. Got to talk to a real person who understood what I was talking about and got the screw in the mail in a timely manner. But with a brand new scope sitting there in the box and a hunting trip on the horizon the time for it to arrive seemed to pass painfully slow.

Got it on and it works so far. So I kinda feel that as a consumer I am entitled to buy something that works without further hassles and I kinda feel that a package that goes out with a small part missing is gonna happen occasionally........ So is that ole glass half empty or half full?

Order was very prompt. Mounted the base with no problem. Worked great. I now have a scope on my crossbow.

Fits my ten year old Horton perfectly, you just take out one bolt and pull off the peep sight and this one goes right in its place, very easy. Fast shiping.
