After working with both wood and metal bolts for three of my crossbows I have discovered nirvana. These bolts remain perfectly true without regard to humidity or bending moment. The only failure I have experienced was where the head attaches. On one occasion I must have hit a rather massive bone and the head broke off at that point. The important thing, though, the failure didn't affect the point of impact or depth of penetration.
I'll never use anything else. |
