I love this game. I bought it for my niece and nephew a while back and since then have given it out as a birthday gift to two of my friend's kids. In all cases, it has been a huge hit, and I've heard that kids keep asking to play this one over and over. They never tire of pretending to be Horton, putting on the Horton mask, and racing around the house to rescue the Whos. Kids particularly think it's hilarious when grown ups put on the Horton mask. Very clever and sweet; perfect for preschoolers.

I confess, I only bought this game because I needed a Horton costume for my daughter and I saw that the hat would fill the bill. But this has become the most popular game in our house! Everyone from our 3 & 4-year-old to a visiting 13-year-old thinks it is fun. It moves fast, so even the littlest ones can join in. The Horton hat is used to pick up game pieces with velcro, so smaller children can "cheat" and use their hands while bigger ones can be required to pick up the pieces with no hands. My only complaint is that it is hard to keep the scoring chips in their designated place, and some of the younger kids have trouble keeping track of them. But they have too much fun to care who wins!

This is such a fun toy. You hide the little berries around the house and then whoever lands on a berry tile has to wear the horton/elephant hat and find/pick up the berry with the trunk while doing a funny action like crawling or hopping or something. My 3.5 year old son LOVES this! Even my husband had a ball last night playing it with him. The spinner brings back memories of my child hood games and helps the young kids with counting from 1-4. I thought this was a 10 in terms of fun. Another fun game we have from the same company is the Cat in the Hat game. That one is great too.

I have a 3-year-old girl and she loves this game. It is so much fun for the whole family. She gets the game out and sets it all up by herself. It only takes about 10 minutes to play, so it doesn't disrupt your day too much. When her 3-year-old cousin comes over, it keeps them busy for a long time. Her other cousins are 2 boys (8 and 9) and a girl (12) and they all love playing it as well.
I highly recommend this game.

What a great idea. Our little girl loves wearing the Horton hat and hoping, crawling and skipping to the rescue of the 'whos'. Good family fun for kids and adults.

My children ages 5 and 3 could play this for hours. They love the Horton hat and hiding and finding the clovers. This is one of the first games that keeps my three year olds attention. High quality pieces mean it will last! We are buying this for the cousins as well. Fun for all ages, including the parents!

We picked up this game at the same time as the "I Can Do That" Dr. Suess game, and we love 'em both. It's nice that they're different enough that we can move from one to the next. When I first opened the box and saw the Horton 'hat' I thought "Oh no, that's not going to last long." But it's proved to be surprisingly durable and it's simply super fun. Our four-year boy, 2-year daughter, and 3-year old friend all really enjoy this game--so it's pretty versatile. I can see it being a favorite for at least several years too, maybe more. (And we haven't even see the movie yet!) Lot's of fun!

One of my kids got this game for Christmas. He played it with his siblings and cousins at a few different parties. They all thought it was fun. Some of the kids that played were older than the age recommended, but they did not play as long. My son was almost four and he played over and over again with whomever would play it with him. You do have to be willing to help the young ones to know where to go and what action they need to use to get there. You also have to be careful with the elephant's face. The piece that the trunk is added onto is cracked on ours. It does still work, but I hope it will continue to hold up.

I bought this for my Niece for Christmas. When she opened it at my house it's all the kids wanted to play with. Everyone elses gifts got tossed aside for the evening:) When they were finished playing the actual game, they pretended to be Horton with the mask. It was an easy game for all of the kids to play, even my 4 year old. As far as educational, there is counting, reading and memorization. I'm going to give this gift to any 3-8 year old who needs a gift for birthdays, etc...from now on.
