This weapon is excellent for both hunting and taking down Walkers without attracting too much attention.

With re-usable ammunition it's less of a waste on resources than firearms.

It's quiet enough that I could bring down dozens of squirrels and even a deer without attracting the attention of the Walkers.

I've been using this crossbow for several hunts and even to protect myself in a manhunt for a missing little girl.

It is accurate enough to hit a target in the head at short to medium range and it's durable enough to survive being dropped down a large ravine multiple times and dragged long distances in the dirt.

Overall, I highly recommend this weapon to anyone hoping to survive the zombie apocalypse.

This crossbow has really helped us out during our situation with all of the dang walkers. This has saved my life many times, especially during my hunt for Sophia. Silent, fast, and deadly. This is a great crossbow.

I wanted this crossbow because it was the one used on The walking Dead and it is a great tool for hunting. I have seen many posts that this can take down deer. It shoots around 240-270 feet per second and with a 125lb draw it is cool. Some states require 150lbs to hunt with it, like in NC. Either way it is classified as a youth crossbow and I am a 180lb man who loves it because it is an inch wider and shorter than most other "full size" bows. This is great for women or kids but also for adults who want a good affordable crossbow. It is built solid and I love it. My wife got me the cross bow package which came with quiver and 3 bolts (crossbow arrows). It says you can use other bolts unless they are Horton but I went to Gander Mtn and got some that are almost exactly the same and the guy there said you can use them its just how Horton makes money selling their brand. The scope however is a single dot (atleast mine was) and the battery was dead when it came. I tried sighting it but could not get the left to right adjustment on. I got it close after I realized I had to turn the knob left to move it right which is backwards for whatever reason. Anyways I bought the 40 dollar horton crossbow mount rail off Amazon to mount a basic air rifle (pellet gun) scope which many people suggest works well with the dial a range feature. Anyways this is one awesome shooting crossbow and dont let the affordable price or the zombie review on here fool you. I love mine!!!

Actually a lot better constructed than I originally thought as there are other crossbows that have about the same amount of draw that are more expensive. Lets get one thing straight, this will kill! make sure that if you have kids, you keep your bolts and bow locked up until you have adequately trained them on weapon safety. Back to the bow, if your significant other intends to use it, make sure they are strong enough, as the draw is pretty tight. The red dot sight is not adjustable so it's a bit of a gimmick, but close enough to your prey, you may not need it anyway, although it does raise the "cool" factor a touch. As most walking dead fans know, this is the same crossbow Daryl
Dixon uses during the show and probably sold tons of these for Horton.
