Product Description

The Hosa USQ-110 Tracklink Guitar to USB Interface makes it easy to connect your electric guitar, bass, or keyboard directly to your computer. Simply plug the 1/4-inch TS connector into your instrument and the USB connector into your computer and play you'll be tracking in no time. Use your existing software to process your sound or, if you use guitar pedal effects or signal processors, simply plug the instrument end into the last effect in your signal chain. The on-board analog-to-digital converter will faithfully reproduce your sound in CD quality. It's that easy!

Their minimal setup documentation did not help either.

It makes a prominently audible high-pitched noise the whole time it is plugged into the computer.

My only wish is that I could return this cable and get a full refund.

I have a Mac and use GarageBand to record songs unprofessionally. However, this cable is so bad that I really can't even use it for that. It makes a prominently audible high-pitched noise the whole time it is plugged into the computer. Completely useless unless you care absolutely nothing about your sound. BTW this is actually the second such cable I've bought, the first worked great, but I lost it in a move recently (hence this abominable purchase). Unfortunately I cannot remember the brand and nothing looks familiar when I browse Amazon. I only mention this to give you seekers some hope. There are decent 1/4 to USB cables out there, but this just isn't it.

This is the worst Guitar to USB cable ever! I'm not sure how they even continue to sell this thing. The cable produces a constant two-tone hum no matter where or what computer I plug it into. This includes going outdoors with my Notebook, far away from any electronic distractions, and it still produces noise. Not only that, but the cable introduces a significant delay from the time you play till the time you here the note. My only wish is that I could return this cable and get a full refund.

This was a terrible purchase. I bought it to use with Logic Pro 8, and it never worked despite hours wasted trying to set it up. They claim the cable is plug and play, but it never worked for me. Their minimal setup documentation did not help either. I want to cut it up into little pieces and mail it back to them.

The cable produces a hum, which other reviewers have noted as well. I'm surprised as Hosa usually makes higher quality items. I purchased two of these for my daughter who is recording directly into her computer from her guitar. Both had the same hum.

I found another, generic cheaper brand from Amazon, and no hum!

If you want to record, don't use this cable.

I ordered this part for my church's sound system. It plugged right into the soundboard, and has worked perfectly in the month or so we've been using it.
