Unbelievable!,
By
This review is from: Hospital Girls (Hardcover)
I can scarcely believe that this book is even listed on Amazon. Set in wartime Manchester, England, it's the story of a group of girls who begin a nurse's training course at a big, public hospital. The premise itself is ok but the writing is so basic that it was as if the writer was talking to not too bright children, or to slightly retarded readers. She all but spells out, in short sentences, the meaning of everything she says...I simply couldn't continue beyond a couple of chapters. I don't like to appear superior, but the author seems to think that we're all dim-wits!
