Take a young, innocent southern girl and put her into the busy metropolitan city of New York, toss in a couple of bank robbers, and a really hot guy and wow.

Deanna and her family have already survived (except for an elderly grandmother) the devastation of the hurricanes in Louisiana so she came to NYC to try and help her parents back home with money. She shows amazing courage during a bank robbery and she winds up being taken hostage.

But one of the bank robbers isn't like the others and when he and Deanna get together, sparks fly. I kept turning pages because I had to know what happened next. The author didn't let me down.

Let me start off by saying that I had never heard of this author until I saw her name tagged 16 times for Lora Leigh's "Wild Card". I did not find her writing to be anywhere close to the calibre of LL's 5-star books. This kindle book had formatting issues and was in serious need of a good editing.

I love a good hostage themed hea book. In this story the hostage theme is how the Ryan and Deanna meet but the hostage story line ends early.

SPOILER **** SPOILER ****

While Deanna is being held captive she has consensual sex with Ryan, who is actually undercover FBI. She becomes pregnant and the story then begins. I just couldn't get into the story. I wanted it to be a lot better. I finally gave up and decided that it just wasn't worth the purchase price. Amazon gave me a refund.
