A beautiful and poignant little book

Lovely little book full of poetry and wisdom. I found it thanks to the Brain Pickings on-line newsletter (a fantastic resource for any thinking person). Here Saint-Exupery turns his sensitive eye and heart on an endangered world the outcome for which he as yet couldn't know. His observations of people and place are keen and poignant.

Great book in great condition

The book arrived within the stated time span (which was not particularly fast), but it was in perfect condition. It's a great read -- it's possibly not Saint-Exupery's writing at his most delicate, but it certainly manages to convey several of his main themes about friendship clearly, with a gorgeous turn of phrase, as always.

So far beyond The Little Prince! - Wonderful, educational writings of a great talent lost far too soon to our world.

Until I started reading these other less-known writings of Exupery, I had no idea who this wonderful, courageous aviator was. He fought valiantly to keep France from becoming Socialist at the hands of Charles De Gaulle, and it probably cost him his life. This is another great example of his amazing gift with the written word. I wish there was more. Each and everyone who reads his work can't but come away awed at his brilliant understanding of the blessings of freedom and the nature of agency.
