This book is amazing!

I had a couple of friends who told me to give it a try, but I wasn't sure because I have never heard of the author. I have to say wow! This book has a lot going for it. It has two kick butt main characters, Matt and Amanda. They are both fighting to save thier own lives as well as trying to save the country from an evil corporation and a corrupt politician who are trying to take over the world. The bad guy, a man named Ramsey is truly a bad character who wants to force everyone to accept his religious views because he thinks America is becoming too immoral. He was a great man and a war hero who has fallen. Very interesting. And Matt is an operative in a super secret organization that deals with some truly crazy things in the world.

The book has a touch of Dan Brown's religous conflict mixed with Vince Flynn's action and spy stuff. As well as letting me escape for awhile, it also made me think.

On top of the political intrigue and action, it has a dose of science and technology thrown in for good measure. The bad guys use wormhole technology in their attempt to takeover the country and the world.

I think anyone who gives this book a shot will be more than glad that they did. It's a great book that I had trouble putting down.
I hope to see more from this writer!

James Allen's first novel is a pulse pounding adventure filled with action, intrigue, and suspense.
It begins with Matt McKenzie, the hero, as he looks for his sister who has disappeared while working for a powerful defence contractor named FutureTech. He infiltrates the organization and finds that they are secretly backed by an unscrupulous U.S. senator and have developed an indcredibly advanced weapon that they plan on using to assassinate the president of the United States. Afterwards they plan on seizing control of the government and taking over the world.
We come to find that Matt McKenzie is a member of a highly classified organization that answers only to the president. We follow him as he attempts to escape FutureTech's highly secure compound and stop them from throwing the world into chaos.
This story takes us from secret compounds hidden deep in America's heartland to China as Matt fights for his life and the future of his country.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves action and adventure and thrills. It is a great first novel.
