Book Description

June 19, 2012

Hostile Takeover is essential reading for anyone looking to understand how individual freedom can prevail in a world of decentralized information. Matt Kibbe and this book provide us all with a roadmap on how to take back our lives, liberties, and responsibilities. ”
—Glenn Beck

Matt Kibbe, the high-profile leader of FreedomWorks—who Geraldo Rivera calls “a warrior for the cause of limited government”—now offers an intelligent, aggressively argued attack on the American federal government machine in Washington, D.C. In Hostile Takeover, Kibbe, co-author of the #1 bestseller Give Us Liberty, provides a blueprint for “resisting centralized government’s stranglehold on America,” in order to return the nation to the more workable system our Founding Fathers originally intended.

From the Back Cover

A rebellious challenge to the "upper management" of government, who are choking American prosperity and liberty

The American enterprise grew exceptional based on the founding principles of individual freedom, decentralized knowledge, and accountable, constitutionally limited government. But our "leaders" from Washington, D.C., have systematically replaced the dispersed genius of America with top-down dictates and expensive schemes designed to expand the power of insiders and protect the privileged positions of politicians, bureaucrats, and their cronies.

Freedom, not centralization

"Decentralized freedom" has become the strategy that will return America to its founding values, breaking up centralized government's monopoly on power and returning it to where it belongs: with We the People.

Senior management has failed us. It's time to clean house.

In Hostile Takeover, bestselling author Matt Kibbe exposes the privileged collusion of Washington insiders—and maps out a proven plan for how to return power from the self-appointed "experts" back to the people. Dubbed "one of the Tea Party's masterminds" by Newsweek, Kibbe reveals how grassroots citizens can and will check the federal behemoth and restore the American enterprise to its founding principles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Government will go to those who bother to show up June 20, 2012
By Publius
Format:Hardcover
This book is a great rallying cry for anyone who realizes how bad things are in Washington and wants to do something about it. It is a bit schizophrenic as it bounces from problem to solution back to problem and solution again. But, overall, this book will give you an excellent picture of what's wrong with our system and how to fix it. In short, Kibbe states that the central problem is central government (top-down hierarchy) and its inability to quell spending. The solution is grass-roots activism (bottom-up individualism) and the kind of ingenuity and industry that it creates.

Progressives and leftists will not like this book and will probably not be convinced of the argument. You have to take a few assumptions before reading. If the first paragraph of this review did not make you cringe, then you might well enjoy this book.

All-in-all, Kibbe provides an awesome addition to a growing list of powerful Tea Party-inspired, minimal government books that are reshaping our intellectual landscape. Another one I would whole-heartedly promote is Juggernaut: Why the System Crushes the Only People Who Can Save It, which will also serve as intellectual footing for the coming hostile takeover.

It's a time for choosing, America!

5.0 out of 5 stars Freedom Is Worth It All! June 20, 2012
By BIrd
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
Hostile Takeover is A brilliantly articulated account of why the bottom-up track to freedom IS the way back for America. Matt Kibbe shows us so clearly why we must grab our country back from the top-down system that has stripped us of our freedom. If we don't listen to him now we will face the consequences in spades later. This is a must read and shows us the true value of the activism which Kibbe has engaged so effectively on behalf of all of us. We all have a great deal to learn from this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Is it too late? June 30, 2012
Format:Hardcover
If this book doesn't motivate you to want to take our country back, you are part of the problem. Maybe you are one of those who deals not in goods or services, but in favors and gets richer by political pull rather than work.

But, maybe you are disgusted that the Occupy folks crap on the ground, receive tax dollars and political favors to support their cause while the Tea Party must pay insurance to hold a rally, be careful to not step on the grass, and are wrongly accused of using the N word. Maybe you understand that the holocaust happened because people just like us ignored the problem.
If so, read this book and get involved. Time is running out.

I am a Certified Fraud Examiner that is using my skills to help the Tea Party. I researched Senator Lugar and other RINOs for the Tea Party. You have a skill that will be useful in helping the cause. Be a patriot.

The Kibbe book is a good start and will help you understand the road ahead.
