5.0 out of 5 stars Best cookbook of the 90's, March 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Hot Barbecue (Hot Books) (Paperback)
This is one of the best cookbooks I've ever used. My only complaint is I want more! How about one with the side dishes/suggested accompaniments? Watercress tomato pasta salad I faked, but the flourless choc cake would be great! Best of all in this book fat is minimized, most meals are very healthy and TASTE WONDERFUL!!! This book is helping me keep my reputation as a wonder-cook, thanks Hugh & Teri, my mother assisted Hugh in the 80's and she's won me over as a fan since!

5.0 out of 5 stars Origional, Spicy and Delicious!, June 6, 2000
This review is from: Hot Barbecue (Hot Books) (Paperback)
This book put me over the top as a great BBQ man! Using these recipies along with the grilling tips has made me the expert among friends. My friends demand that I make either All Star Asian ribs or Spicy Szechwan Chicken at every BBQ. I've even had a restaurant owner ask me how I do it! If you want to impress your friends with incredible food and leave them asking for more- buy this book. The other books in this series are incredible as well.

By A Customer
This review is from: Hot Barbecue (Hot Books) (Paperback)
This book is worth it just for the "Amazing Glaze" alone! The seafood recipes are some of the best I have ever eaten. After I got this book, I didn't cook indoors for a week after! More recipes please... SHH

This review is from: Hot Barbecue (Hot Books) (Paperback)
I've got over 100 cookbooks, but this one is my favorite. The recipes have a strong Asian influence that feature full, rich flavors.

This is one of the barbecue books that you need to own. I have a few burger/barbecue books and this one as well as burger meisters are the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars rogochef, August 17, 2008
This review is from: Hot Barbecue (Hot Books) (Paperback)
H. Carpenter's focus is fusion/Asian: Therefore, if your idea of BBQ is some meat and a bottle of prepared sauce....forget the book. If, however, you like Asian foods and don't mind assembling your own sauce, you will be rewarded with some sensational flavors. They get ready to get the rest of his "Hot" books. I had several cooking lessons from him and really enjoy his style.
