Easy to read, highly descriptive, and offering a wealth of sample flies, Hot Bass Flies is an excellent supplementary guide for novice anglers and experienced fly fishers alike.

Fantastic book very well laid out, but one good fly I found missing from the book "The Gurgler" I just thought it would be a must have Hot Fly!

Not What I Wanted,

When I bought this book I wanted something with innovative bass flies, perhaps some background and history of them, tips on how to fish them and, most important of all, instructions on how to tie these flies. This book delivers on the first three counts but fails on the third. Instead of telling you how to make these flies it tells you where to buy them. Because of this it strikes me as an infomercial or a catalog. Because of that I'd give this book a pass.
