Book Description

February 1, 2003
Fatal Attractions, edited by Jeff Gelb and Michael Garrett, is the eleventh Hot Blood erotic horror collection -- and according to Cemetery Dance, “one of the best volumes in this long- running series - a top rating.”  Like a moth to a flame, Fatal Attraction draws a diverse array of award-winning authors from the horror, mystery and thriller genres (and Hollywood) into its orbit, including Max Alan Collins, P. D. Cacek, Graham Masterton, Edo van Belkom, Nancy Holder, Brian Hodge, David Schow, Mick Garris and Yvonne Navarro.  In fact, Fatal Attractions is the most lauded roster of contributors in the rich three-decade history of the Hot Blood series.  Be Manhandled.  Have an Epiphany.  Work the Graveyard Shift.  Go on Separate Vacations.  Awaken to Moist Dreams.  Fatal Attractions is One to Die For, the pinnacle of erotic horror and a must read for fans.

More About the Author

Thea Hutcheson explores far away lands full of magic and science with one hand holding hope and the other full of wonder while she burns up pages with lust, leather, and latex, brimming over with juicy bits. She lives in an economically depressed, unscenic, nearly historic small city in Colorado. She is a factotum when she is filling the time between bouts at the computer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hotter by the Story, February 25, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Hot Blood XI: Fatal Attractions (Paperback)
This new anthology from Jeff Gelb and Michael Garrett stands right up there with the others in this series of erotic horror. Fatal Attraction fields a great line up of award winning pros and new names in the horror genre. The stories run the gamit from fetishes to shooting stars with a nice selection of blood and bodily fluids to keep things lubed up. These stories will keep coming back around to haunt your thoughts and pique your imagination as you contemplate new ways to spice up your own sex life.

New publisher Kensington Books has made an attractive book that will stand up nicely with the others in this horrifically steamy series.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST YET?, February 7, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Hot Blood XI: Fatal Attractions (Paperback)
It's great to see the Hot Blood series back in action after ten previous volumes. Love the larger size of the book. Some familiar names here, including Max Allan Collins, Graham Masterton, David Schow, Nancy Holder and Brian Hodge deliver their usual excellent work. Director Mick Garris has a wild story involving the movie industry. And about half the book is stories by female writers, who offer uniquely erotic viewpoints. Gelb and Garrett may have given us the best Hot Blood volume ever - welcome back!

2.0 out of 5 stars More of a Literary "Cold Shower" than Steamy Literature, March 3, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Hot Blood XI: Fatal Attractions (Paperback)
The lastest collection of stories by authors Gelb and Garrett is a real mixed-bag of so-called erotic horror stories. The anthology begins with three or four stories detailing the deviant side of sexual horror. Hardly anything to get your pulse racing.

These stories are followed by a short group of stories that, in my mind, could more aptly be called erotic horror as these stories dwell upon themes based on romantic relationships, rather than deviant behavior. From this point on, the stories fall into the just plain weird category.

If you're a fan of the earlier books in the original series, I doubt that you'll find this collection to be a worthwhile addition to your library.
