Monster jazzy celebration of the genius that was Isaac Hayes. Can't believe I'm the first to review this release. I purchased this the same day as Send One Your Love by Boney James. All I can say is if 09 has more fruits like these two to offer, gonna be a real good year. This here Hot Buttered Jazz is top drawer from start to finish. Ok, admittedly I'm not sure why Hold On I'm Coming is at this party, goodness knows there are numerous other Hayes compositions available. Outside of that, the rest of the bunch is a most enjoyable affair, helped along by Kim Waters, Walter Beasley, Norman Brown and Chris Davis. Many, many highlights on here, so well worth your hard earned. I have to give a special mention though to Phil Perry on By The Time I Get To Phoenix. Man! I've been a bit critical of him in the past about his fire alarm delivery, but he turns in a superb, five star performance on this cut. I don't know how many times I've listened to this track alone. Outstanding. Highly recommended.

This is a great Cd. All the musicians involved in this project did Isaac
music justice. A must have if you are a fan of Isaac Hayes and also like Smooth Jazz.

I recently returned from South America, one evening I was sitting by the hotel poolside bar and this album was being played. I asked the bartender to play it again the whole thing, and got the name. This is a must for all Jazz Lovers.
As I said before BEA--U--TI--FUL.

This is an excellent tribute to the legendary Isaac Hayes. My favorite track is "Joy", but all these tracks are excellently done. I don't know why this cd does not get any airplay on these so called "smooth jazz" stations. I just happened up on this cd on a music website and thought I would check it out. Highly recommended.
