I bought these pants as a base layer for my new snowboarding obsession (along with the top base layer, where I posted this review as well), and I love them! I used to use a pair of standard thermal underwear as my base layer, but they don't even compare to these. The Hot Chillys pants stay dry and are incredibly warm! For a day out on the slopes, I think they are perfect. They fit very snugly, but are true to size, so order whatever size you normally wear and expect a nice, snug fit. Can't really think of any negatives!

I'm 5'9", 150 pounds, balanced proportions, and I had no problems with the fit. I was actually really impressed with the quality and elasticity...and I wore these into the ground last winter. They were a little short for my legs, but most pants are. The only thing that bothered me was as they became used, they developed those little tiny fabric balls on the outside, which tend to develop on sweaters and woven items. Other than that, highly recommended.
